NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland has set up a scheme to enable us to work together to reach this aim and for you to have a say in how local NHS services are provided.

Be healthy, be heard

Whether you are an individual wanting to voice your own opinion or a group/business wanting to take action to help and support your staff, this is a scheme that provides people with healthy living advice and support and an opportunity to comment on how £803 million is spent across local health services.

Events

Community medicine for member's events - Lets talk about health

Following your feedback, this year's community medicine for members events have been re-launched to introduce you to a whole host of different health topics.

You told us in the recent membership questionnaire that you wanted to learn more about key topics such as mental health, using NHS services, drugs, alcohol and more. As a result of this feedback we've teamed up with NHS Leicester City, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and the East Midlands Ambulance Service to bring out a series of health talks to educate you on the topics which you have identified as most important to you.

This new stream of health talks are called ‘lets talk about health' and will give you the opportunity to talk to the experts out of a clinical environment. The talks will feature lectures from key speakers, the opportunity to ask your questions to the experts, and the chance to meet other people and take away additional information.
